Lately, I’ve been making a conscience effort to spend more of my evenings with the husband instead of the comp – and hence the short break taken in posting up entries…but tonight, I had a big urge to post something because I received a very beautiful email from a colleague this morning.
It was a daily devotional message (which she bccs me on everyday) and today’s topic mentioned about how God is constantly raining blessings over us – regardless whether we realize / appreciate it or not.
I thought about it for a while and marvelled at this wonderful thought. And I decided to eliminate any negative thoughts for the moment and reflected on how the week has worked out blissfully for me:
1. Mom got me a brand new canon Ixus 870IS – as an early Xmas gift as she knew I’ve been a wee bit ‘handicapped’ following the incident where my Casio Exilim broke down on me during the 2nd day of our Europe tour. 🙁 Boohoo…and although I’d have to agree that I was more inclined towards getting another Casio cam (this time, the beauty S10)…the not-so-better-looking and fatter Canon won my heart over with the amazing colour contrasts and WIDE ANGLE capabilities!!!
The photowhore is back!
2. We finally received our wedding video DVDs this week and watching both the full documentaries and montages brought back many fond memories. We were so blessed to have such a wonderful videographer who captured all our loved ones in the video beautifully. Girls, you will so have to watch this because the dialogues and expressions of you caught on cam were priceless! I was laughing and tearing at the same time!
p/s: I also caught the husband’s teary eyes while he watched the montage…
3. Something in the relationship with the husband has been bugging me for a while…and I’m so glad that I finally took the initiative to talk to him about it (and get it off my chest). The husband responded positively too and I couldn’t be happier (and relief) about our open communication and acceptance with each other.
4. I received lovely, encouraging and endearing messages from my close friends throughout the week as they listened to my woes and consoled me with their love. And these friends are truly a big blessing to me.
Amazing what a strong and beautiful statement can do to one’s soul.
