I’m back from my virgin trip to Bangkok and ended up falling quite ill on the last day, down with a fever and bad bout of flu, throat infection and extremely tired feet.
But the wonderful thing that came out of this was that I went to the trip with a 50-50 expectation of enjoying the trip from all cynical comments mum was telling me about it wasn’t my kinda shopping since I’m always at Zara and Topshop but alas I ended up loving just one mall on it’s own that I will never spend insane money buying similar clothes from FEP again. Or least I won’t look at the value of clothes in the same way again. In a few shops, I also saw some Singaporeans making bulk purchase at near to 100 baht ($4.50) a dress. That’s a 100% markup from cost price at FEP.
I’ve not felt so tired from shopping that I literally had to drag my feet just to walk from one shop to another. Thank goodness for the spout of foot massage palours! Really made my feet feel 1000000000x lighter afterwards. The food was so delicious too and I had so much to eat, I put on about 3kg just based on this trip. Save me.
Sky bar was fantastic, I loved the concept and the personalized service minus the saga earlier about needing to buy a pair of shoes because flipflops weren’t allowed and I wasn’t told! Shoes were cheap at $9 for a pair of decent looking ones anyway. Thank goodness.
I’m so glad I went on this trip with the cousin because I think it was really great bonding for us 🙂 For now, I need rest, tissue, water, panadol and flu tablets.
