although I have been able to sleep in and not have to prepare for work for the past 2 days, and one last one tomorrow before the real deal starts on Thursday…friends have been texting me notes of envy, that they would very much like to trade places to enjoy bits of the taitai-dom I’ve been up to of late.
But the truth is far from it.
Monday was practically finishing up what’s left of work (really going over and beyond) and surviving the day on 5 hours of sleep
and Tuesday/today was spent catching up on the sleep I was supposed to get from Monday although I also managed to fit in other activities such as lunching with Ed & Bren, visiting the dentist to remove the stitches, doing a brazilian and a pedi, ice-creaming with the BR and having tennis lessons!
tomorrow, the last day of free-time, will be spent catching up with my ex-art director, picking mummy up from the airport, and spending some me-time / hours thinking about business plans (as suggested by the husband) over coffee. 😀
While I suppose that a tai-tai would be busying herself with hi-tea and shopping instead of running around from train to train like a lunatic just to meet her appointments, I have to admit that I am enjoying these moments quite a bit. Having time to do things that you WANT to do is FANTASTIC.
I almost forgot how it felt like to be so carefree and not have to rush about and fret about meeting requests and deadlines.
IT FEELS SO GOOD.
