How did your long weekend go??? I had one of the most amazing weekends, in a long while.
Kicked off the weekend with a snooze-in with the hubs on Friday, got some lunch, husband bought me a girly kitty casing for the iphone4 because the old plastic one was severely scratched up, went to Gill’s salon for a haircut/colouring/treatment for 3 of us in the family (mom, bobo & myself), got some fantastic dinner at our fave authentic-style Japanese inn, ended the night watching Adrien Brody in Predator (still like him in The Pianist better).
Started Saturday watching our dose of Gossip Girl, HIMYM6, Supernatural right after waking up before bobo headed for tennis and attended a (somewhat dreaded) baby shower where the only good thing out of it was being able to catch up with the rest of the gang who was there.
As for me, I had a really nice lunch at Holland V with Jasmeanie, talked/laughed/cam whored like the good ole days till tears came flowing out…inevitably.
Met the husband in the late noon, went to Ikea and picked out some lovely items to spruce up the home (been getting requests lately on when we would finally invite friends to our place after talking about it some 2 years ago).
Went to FOOD FOR THOUGHT at SAM for a nice cuppa thereafter.
We went to watch MEGAMIND in 3D,
went for dinner, bought more PS3 games (Kris & Jas, you have to check out the new games and we can do a swap!), and ended the night watching a mix of our favourite programs – BNTM6 being one of them. I’m such a reality TV sucker when it comes to anything bitchy.
Sunday. Tried sleeping in to no avail. Husband nagged the daylights out of me to finally get some photos which my grandma wanted printed and to help with some other chores my mom has been asking me to do. Got ready and headed out for a quick lunch (Katong Laksa + Otah goodness!!!) before attending Viki’s baptism at Church of the Holy Cross. Was quite an eye opener for me, to be attending someone’s baptism at a catholic church for the 1st time. Husband told me to be prepared to sit through from 1pm-4.30pm; but she’s a really good friend anyhow, and I thought it would mean a lot just to show our support & be there for her. 🙂 Thankfully I knew most of the hymns they sang thanks to 10 years of being in a catholic school so it wasn’t all that boring for me. Felt the homily given was quite a refreshing reminder to me too…
Went to mom’s place for a homecooked meal before spending 2 hours on our new PS3 games & toys.
I played till I got a blister without knowing, but was well worth it because we had such a blast & a good laugh!
