I’ve been disliking the state of my hair – growing out the fringe, messy layers, roots growing out – for 3 months now.
And while I wished I could just resort to rebonding (again) and then probably hating myself for that decision when I’m greeted by poker straight hair which makes the face look somewhat like a very flabby pancake; I decided to leave that decision to the people at Komanchi instead.
I first read about Komanchi from Renee (Beauty Fool) , and although she didn’t post photos of her hair before nor after, I was somewhat tempted & lured to try their services. Especially after reading about Komanchi’s Milkshake Treatment Colour on their site. I’m a sucker for all sorts of research & feedback whenever possible…
So I made an appointment & was consulted by Creative Director Nakamura Chiaki. Was told that I should leave my hair alone (since I wanted to grow out my hair) from any perming and to continue growing it out so that I could achieve the style that I wanted.
I ended up doing what I intended – colouring to cover those hideous roots that were growing out & a minor trim to tame some damage at the ends. Also loved how professional Komanchi was in not hard selling other services that I may not have been prepared for or needed.
Like Renee’s experience, Ms. Chiaki also used a curling thong at the end to create another look for me after I showed her some photos of my self-taught curling experience earlier this year…
Ahh perhaps I will start putting Ms. Chiaki’s tips to achieving this look to practice really soon!
