I thought this month’s ‘drama’ (my earlier posts of angst, rants & tears regarding some news which probably got most of you puzzled) was over since one week ago, and I could finally move on after coming to terms with my new course of treatment for the multiple cysts that decided to show up uninvited.
Until I had another ‘drama moment’ last night.
To summarize & be less graphic (& gross) about the details: I had abnormal bleeding. Yes, out of nowhere. Suddenly and unfortunately not staining the old office leather chair I’ve been wanting to change for a while but basically enough to get me jumping out of a chair and running to the loo sort.
And no, it wasn’t the monthly sort all ladies in their prime would expect. Or maybe it was (when I gave the doc a call this morning to clarify out of curiosity) but I just didn’t think of it then because it was like 17 days early from my charts! Eew.
The husband & I tried to think of some possible explanations (of the cause) last night till we gave up and decided to just let things be. My gynae too, couldn’t determine the cause of it except to assume that it was probably my monthly period arriving way ahead of schedule (he later ruled this out when he asked to see me) or ‘hormonal imbalance’ which caused this abnormality. And the only thing that I can do right now about it is just to wait it out over the next few weeks.
Which really, really sucks because here I am taking a deliberate break away from the stress that everyone has been telling me to, only to find multiple cysts appearing out of nowhere AND if there’s anything more that could go wrong with my system, I would like to nip it in the bud while its still mild and not complicated.
Plus I had to cancel travel plans (we’re talking cool weather, beautiful scenery & road trips!) because of the initial diagnosis, only to be told to ‘wait it out’ now.
It really really sucks. And I hope all this will just go away so I could at least enjoy my stuck-in-Singapore situation.
Wish I could say ‘Happy Friday’ to you,
