I meant to post a happy, halfway mark post this week – but this came first so I’d leave that for later (with a new hair color to boot, btw!).
Last night while we were hosting a family dinner to welcome back / farewell Bo’s uncle from New Zealand, I suddenly felt a jabbing sprain on the right of my lower torso. Initially I thought it was just a pull – probably due to the way I was sitting by the piano and leaning against it – but it persisted for a few hours till bed time. All I could do was rub it a little to soothe the ache but it would come back again.
I managed to sleep with the sprain somehow, and when I woke up (also because of the position I sleep), I pulled a upper thigh muscle while rushing to get to the loo. Grr. Me feels like an old lady already. The thigh muscle subsided after a while but the right sprain started to come back.
And there’s nothing I can do now except to look forward to my detailed scan appointment in the afternoon, hope that sonographer tells me that all is good & well (and not tell me to wait for doc’s consultation which will absolutely freak me out altogether) and see baby do some moves. Reassurance please!
As of this moment, I’m not even the least wee bit excited about gender reveal anymore. I just want to know that right side jabbing sprain is absolutely normal.
