The recent long weekend of celebrations that is.
That was lots of visiting, gatherings, feasting that I clocked in an average of 4-5 hours of sleep/night for the last 4 days (also because we were on a roll kinecting, band heroing, home improving, suppering, barbequing etc.) because someone’s got to be up to receive the little guy’s morning greeting and give him his breakfast right? I don’t think we’ve partied so hard in a while…probably since we became parents…but know what? It was epic! There was so much love & joy happening in the air I think I was on a high from all the sugar we consumed from rainbow chocolate cakes, mouth-watering magnum minis, tangy lemon tarts, flaky egg tarts and the amount of mao shan wang. And that’s exclude the awesome BBQ we hosted with the Queenies – everything from the grill tasted just so good (including the deep fried samosas). I definitely need to eat more healthy this week to compensate.
We did lots of outdoor time with our little man too which was super yay. It made me so happy to see him run in the wind like he was flying and all he wanted was to just keep doing it. And he had a ball of a time just pressing all sorts of lift buttons we came across. We also took the opportunity of a long weekend to rejig his play area for the better, breathing new life into some older toys and he loves it. He plays for longer now and spends more time with each toy. Yay!
Will the next public holiday please come by quickly again!
