So juggling two, no wait three…let’s make it four jobs (cuz it is, ain’t it?) at the moment has been one of the craziest phases of my life since motherhood happened. Yet despite how exhausting it all sounds…ok some days like rainy days and bag is really heavy days it gets quite physically draining, it’s been all very exciting and amazing.
I’m thankful to be blessed with lovely people, bosses, mentors and family whose been every bit supportive and encouraging in every way possible – respecting my want and need for work, life, me balance; making it possible for me to continue creating special moments through the week with Liam as long as deadlines are met.
Those who don’t know me will probably assume that I’m always having it good … to be able to afford the classes that Liam enjoys, seemingly always having high tea sessions with my friends and look like I don’t do any work at all (oh the power of exaggerated truths in social media). But no. I work heart and soul for these things, in addition to cutting back on our ex-lifestyle and making some big changes to our financial expenditure…those behind-the-scenes stuff which no one’s ever interested to know, but it can all be done. Juggling however many jobs and still making time for your loved ones. Maybe at the expenses of yourself but to me it’s all worth it.
Today was a much welcomed break because I was on official leave. Our little fella had his first excursion with his pre-school and parents were invited. No not really, they were a must. A check with another gf’s school proved otherwise which supported my initial sentiments but that doesn’t matter. Both of us had fun so all’s good. I think the much needed together time did us lots of good. Although I wished that I brought along a SD card along with my camera so that I needn’t rely on my below-average quality phone camera for an image like this:
On a even better note, it’s a short workweek next week. Hooray! Perhaps we might bump into you somewhere 🙂
