Tip 1: Make really specific goals. Time specific and task specific goals.
For Jan, I told myself that I wanted to:
– Refine my tart baking skill and get to the bottom of finding out how to create a “beurre noisette” in all my tarts. This week, I managed to learn some tips to achieving just that! No photos for now because my piping needs a lot of work, although I should also learn to be proud of my un-instaworthy photos as part of my resolution too.
– Learn to put together fleur arrangements for the home and for the people I love. I’m feeling really cheerful this weekend, and so I created a very happy, yellow bouquet for the home to send out cheery vibes all around.
While these 2 goals may not seem like much, I’m glad that I managed to achieve them pretty quickly into 2015 (ok, they were goals from my 2014 list…). I tend to set self-imposing limits on myself with the convenient excuse of not having enough time (yet some days it ring so true!!!) so finally doing something about did feel pretty liberating.
I sure hope this momentum keeps up, Jan’s enthusiasm into the year is often a good push factor to get started on something. Hope this inspires you! Happy weekend!
