{doing blog catching up now while the little one sleeps…}
Ahh..4 years back on 14 June 2008, we exchanged vows & rings, promised to be there for each other through in sickness & health, for poorer or richer, till death do us part.
It was a magical day. The weather was so perfect that I started sweating buckets enjoying too much of it. Spirits were high, or at least my entourage was fantastic in keeping spirit dampening news far away from my ears. I smiled and teared so much at the same time that my facial muscles went numb. And when the Bo was at his sickest I’ve ever seen him that wedding night, I fulfilled my duty of standing by him through sickness, clearing those crusty eyes, feeding him panadol and sponging him through the night instead of being up to any mischief. Indeed, it was memorable. I even had to wake up early to attend my first (new) family lunch on the next day as a Mrs. So much for sleeping in and enjoying our first morning as a married couple, hah!
And since then, we’ve always set aside the 14th of June every year, spending the day together doing a celebration of sorts with lots of munching involved, from morning to night; reminiscing, laughing & reflecting on the year that we’ve just spent together.
This year was no exception of course and the celebration was made more memorable with the little man joining in the fun! Indeed the best gift for us both.
Dear Bo
Happy 4 years to us!
Thank you for your ineffable love and constant encouragement.
Thank you of being a strong pillar of strength,
and for being the husband I needed you to be (even with ’em earfuls whenever I needed one)
Thank you for reminding what a fantastic & beautiful wife I am to you,
and for those tiny kisses you plant on my forehead everyday before you leave for work.
Thank you for being supportive in almost every decision we make,
even those that result in you needing to take the brunt of our burden.
You know you rock.
I love you with all my heart…
even on those days when we have silent wars.
or a heated argument.
Love,
Your sweetie-potato. xo
