It’s 1 July 2013 and what rang up in my mind when I woke up this morning was how fast half of 2013 has just passed me by.
Lots have been done. Lots are still left undone. I spent most of today setting up 2 mega monitors on the dining table and being engaged in my mega time consuming work assignment, but in between I managed to fit in pockets of quality time with the son, who kept bursting into laughter each time he takes more steps than his previous stride. I love my little klutz!
I’ve been slacked in a few areas which I definitely hope to energize myself up for the next 6 months as I wrap up 2013, and today being the beginning of another half of the year, I had a really good vibe.
There are still goals I look forward to achieving for 2013 and knowing that there’s still half the year left to work towards them comforted me.
Invariably, change will happen and I hope that I’d continue to have the optimism to embrace them as they come.
My learning curve has been steep recently as I learn & relearn things back on the work front but it’s all good. I feel recharged and enthusiastic about new knowledge, humbled by the people teaching me, determined about acquiring some new skills I’ve been contemplating honing (and following through with it), and reading is no longer a luxury but a regular affair these days.
It’s crazy – I used to think that going back to work would probably eat up more time than I used to have with the lack of free hours, yet I now manage my time even better that I get to fit more in and get more done.
It’s amazing! It’s wonderful!
I don’t know how the next 6 months are going to be, but the thought of it excites me already.
